Athletic:

Senior All-State

All Conference

2x J & C All Area

Bench: 205 lbs

Squat: 375 lbs

Clean: 275 lbs

Bio: Ryan Delgatto is the best edge rusher in the state in my opinion. A great first step and unreal discipline has had him in the backfield of our opponents since his freshman year. While he may be seen as undersized for Dline he would be a great walked up backer at the next level. He has played every position in the box for us and plays them all with a level of physicality that most kids can not handle when they have to play against him. Ryan is a nice humble kid that can flip a switch when on the field.

Sam Watson #53

42 Tackles, 2 TFL, 1 Sack

JR. Season Stats:

7 Tackles

1 Sack

1 Forced Fumble

Athletic / School:

3.5 GPA

Bench: 230 lbs

Squat: 375 lbs

Clean: 235 lbs

Bio: Sam Watson has been on the bad side of luck in terms of the people in his position group. Sam has the tangibles and ability to play major minutes of varsity football but has been in a loaded Defensive line group. His size and frame paired with raw athletic ability was a great base for our defensive coaches to work with. He shines the most as a boundary end for us being able to use his speed and length to slant to the guard.

Bio: Gabe Cabrera joined the football team last year and we felt his presence right away. Gabe has always loved the weight room and finally got to put it to good use when he won the left guard spot last year. Good athleticism for his size, a great punch, and the ability to be coachable was a good base to start with. Gabe improved a ton last year but still has so much untapped potential due to his late start. He is going to have tremendous upside as a player and is one of the nicest humans you could run into.

Bio:Mark Melville is going to be an unpleasant surprise for the Hoosier conference and 2a. Changing his body and physical ability in the weight room the past two years Mark is primed for an electric career. Playing both Dline and LB he has really found a knack for creating havoc in the backfield. His two shining qualities as an underclassman were his ability to be coached and grit as a defensive weapon.

Gus is expected to compete for a starting spot on our offensive line as well as playing inside linebacker for us. He is extremely athletic for an offensive lineman with solid footwork and the ability to get to the second level. Gus has become a lot stronger after a consistent two years in the weight room and we are excited to see that transition to Friday nights.

Tage has great athleticism for being a lineman and is not afraid to mix it up with bigger kids. Tage’s growth can be attributed to his love and dedication to the game of football. Dominic Delgatto #55

6'1 190lb DE/OL

Class of 2027

SO. Season Stats:

12 Tackles, 2 TFL , 3 Sacks

Athletic:

Bench: 205 lbs

Squat: 375 lbs

Clean: 275 lbs

Bio: Dominic Delgatto is going to take the mantle from his older brother Ryan as one of the best pass rushers in the state. With a good frame to be and edge rusher and a meticulous attention to detail Dom has improved drastically in his first two years as a high school football player.  While we knew since he came in he had the ability to be a big time player for us the uptick in his physicality this year earned him time as a pass rusher in our third in long packages. If he has the same growth this year you will never see #55 off the field.

Tommy Brown #63

6'5 205lb DE/OLB/OL

Class of 2027

SO. Season Stats:

3 Tackles and a pass deflection

Athletic:

Bench: 205 lbs

Squat: 225 lbs

Clean: 275 lbs

Bio: Tommy Brown may have a higher ceiling than any athlete we have had at LCC in my tenure.  A 6'5 frame on a kid who is not stuck in a "Big" mentality has allowed for him to mesh OLB and DE together and become a hybrid player for our defense. Tommy is the most impactful when it comes to holding contain for the LOS and pass rush.

Eli Thompson #18

6'2 195lbs DE/OLB

Class of 2028

FR. Season Stats:

17 tackles, 3 TFL, 5 sacks, 1 PD

Athletic:

Bench: 265 lbs

Squat: 400 lbs

Clean: 275 lbs

Bio: Eli Thompson is one of the most varsity ready freshman that LCC has seen in a long time. He came into high school as one of the strongest and fastest kids due to his natural talent and ability. While it is great to get someone like that at a 2a school it is even better when they have a second to none work ethic like Eli does. Since he has joined the LCC football team he has refused to be outworked by anyone. Eli spent the season jumping around positions on defense depending on  the game plan but found the most success for us on 3rd and longs as a pass rusher or QB spy. Eli will spend the next three years rarely coming off the field as Offensive skill and defensive box player.
